My family and I stay here every September. It's right on the water with a lot of water and land activities. Carpet ball is probably the favorite and we have a tournament each year. Volleyball, basketball, ping-pong table, multiple fire pits, beautiful waterfront. There seemed to be less everyday essentials there this time. We had to buy toilet paper and I think we went without paper towels so the kitchen got a bit messy. You have to bring your own sheets and bedding so that's something to remember.

My family comes up every July for the past 27 years over time we have rented out almost every single cabin for the week. We have anywhere from 3 to 15 kids up there at a time and everyone always has something to do. The kids like to swim in the shallow waters, build sandcastles on the beach, hunt for frogs by the volleyball courts, play basketball, swing, and our personal favorite, play carpetball. The several campfire areas make for fun nights making Smores and smokys. The cabin closeness make for fun late night adventures from cabin to cabin. The calm waters of the lake provide for great swimming conditions. The new slide and floats add for a fun adventure. We bring up a family boat used for tubing and water skiing, as well as bringing up a motor to attach to one of the row boats for fishing. We also discovered this year that we can rent paddleboards and those make for a fun adventure! The docks are great for fishing, and at the end of the week we have a family fish fry. The cabins are always clean although you do have to provide things. There is often a need for paper towels, toilet paper, sheets, and obviously all of the food needs. There is a grocery store and a Wal-Mart for anything you need or forget. There is a nice souvenir shop a few minuets away and one right on the corner although it is a bit pricy, next door and within walking distance there is a party store with lots of the basic foods. We loved going up so much that we started to go up in the fall as well for a long weekend! Overall an amazing place to choose to stay on the lake and have an amazing weekend of longer vacation. The people are friendly and helpful and the place is a great stay!
